Yanagawa Sagemon Festival Yanagawa, February 11 to April 3
The festival is held from February 11 through April 3 in Yanagawa. Hina dolls are displayed
by families with girls to pray for safe growth of their children, in Yanagawa, in addition to
Hina dolls, colourful “Sagemon” are displayed.
Yoshii Hina doll Festibal, Ukiha, Februay 11 to March 20
Yoshii is located in Ukiha, Fukuoka-prefecture. Hina doll Festival is held from February
11 through March 20. Main Hina dolls are displayed at Shirakabe Avenue district, where
the river is lined by attractive former warehouses, all with traditional wood and white
plaster exteriors. Please visit Yoshii enjoying Japanese Cultural experience.
Kyokusui-no-en Dazaifu, March 2
The festival is held at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine on first Sunday of March, a purification ceremony
on a winding stream, is performed by ladies and gentlemen in a ceremonial court robe under the
plum blossoms in full-bloom.
Cherry blossom forecast in 2025
In Kyushu, they start blooming around March 22 and become full bloom around March 31.
You can enjoy beautiful cherry blossom in any places in Kyushu.
Kawachi Wisteria Garden
The private garden at the Mountain foot of Sarakura, in Kitakyushu-city. The garden is opened
to the public seasonally during the wisteria season which usually peaks around late April to
middle of May.

Shopping in Kyushu
While many people visit Japan for its beautiful scenery and cuisine, Shopping is another
experience.

Department Store and Shopping Mall
Large-scale retail stores in Japan are members of the Japan Department Stores Association.
With spacious layouts, department stores display items in clearly defined categories.
Many of these facilities are conveniently located near major train stations and are easily
accessible by public transportation.
Outlet mall
Popular shopping venues in Japan. They carry both domestic and international brands,
including fashion, electronics, food, sports, household and luxury goods.
Local shopping street
It known as ‘Shoutengai’ offers a mix of shopping, food and events. Each street has its own
mix of local stores and bigger brand names lined up on each side of a street which is often
shut off from heavy traffic. The Shoutengai have been the go-to place for daily shopping,
as well as the cornerstone of local communities, for almost a century. Shoutengai can be
found all over Japan, and each of them offers its own unique charm and atmosphere.
Michinoeki
Michino-eki means Road Station in Japan and provides places for travellers to rest, they are intended
to promote local tourism and trade. There are local shops such as agricultural products (fruits,
vegetables, flowers etc. ) , seafood, snacks, souvenirs and other goods, and reataurants as well.
Supermarket
Primarily focus on groceries and daily necessities. As they play a vital role in supporting local
communities, most offer low-priced items.
Souvenir Shop
You can find a variety of unique local specialties as souvenir at the tourist spots you visit.
